I have been appointed the Head of School of Kingswood Academy in Dairen IL, effective

site.) After 40 years of being an attorney and teaching on the Grammar, High School,
University and Graduate (law students) levels, I will now be fully involved in the academic,
religious and spiritual formation of children and the future of our country and the world.
My vision of education at Kingswood is that it be Christ centered, child focused,
enhanced education. By "Christ centered" I mean that the children not only learn about
their Catholic Faith and receive formative virtue education, but also that they each develop
a personal relationship with Christ together with Whom they live life, experiencing with
Him all its challenges, joys, and suffering.
A "child focused" education is one in which each child is respected and rejoiced in for the
unique person that he or she is, assisted in ways that will enable each to advance in
learning as best as each can by providing each the support, understanding and
adaptations each needs. We adjust to the learning needs of each student so that each
child comes to love learning and has an enthusiasm for learning that will last a lifetime.
Finally, KIngswood provides an "enhanced education" by implementing the core
knowledge curriculum which is superior and facilitates strong intellectual development.
Courses are taught on an interdisciplinary, integrated basis which allows the child to see
and understand the connections, relatedness of events and all facets of man's and
societies' development. They read, study and learn from the best, not the facile,
mediocre, or trivial as is now the case in most schools.
